WITHIN A YARN

‘Within a Yarn’ is a collaborative research project with Dienke Dekker and Philipp Weber executed in the ‘Audax Textile Museum’ in Tilburg, the Netherlands.
Together we investigated an old technique called “Passemenetrie”- the textile art of making elaborate trimmings or edgings.
Together they were searching for different ways of giving volume to either a yarn or a textile. This research resulted in an architectural installation of yarns and shapes, soft and hard, textile and tactile, architectural and sculptural.
